San Francisco, CA., April 2, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE)
ICONECT, a digital document archiving platform company, today announced that its authorization for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is in progress with Innovative Discovery of Arlington, VA. The company expects to achieve full authorization for its iCONECT-XERA platform for secure web-based access to its document management feature by Q3 2019. It will then be one of only a handful of platforms that are available in a secure FedRAMP-hosted environment.
FedRAMP is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and monitoring for cloud-based products and services. Its authorization process includes an in-depth examination of the solution’s data security and data governance capabilities, as well as the security practices of its administrative services and logging capabilities. To achieve this, iCONECT is working with Innovative Discovery under the supervision of the FedRAMP Program criteria and has undergone an extensive scrutiny of security process implementation and rigorous auditing of its platform and processes by outside consultants. The FedRAMP status will allow Federal government agencies to leverage the power of the iCONECT document and multi-media review technology.
As a foundational company in the eDiscovery landscape, iCONECT continues to innovate, optimize efficiencies and streamline the identification, collection, review, analysis and production of legal documents and multi-media files. Through the award-winning intuitive interface of its flagship platform, iCONECT-XERA is already used by hosting providers, law firms, legal departments and government agencies worldwide to collect, organize, search, sort and produce evidence in some of the world’s largest and most complex legal cases and archival projects.
Beyond listing on GSA, Innovative Discovery is committed to complying with the regulatory requirements set forth by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and enforced by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). Innovative Discovery focuses on digital forensics, hard copy services, analytics, managed review services, online review hosting and electronic data discovery specifically for the government and corporate sectors.
“The exponential growth in the volume, complexity and governance of documents, email, social and multi-media data brings new challenges to clients, especially those in the Federal government sector looking for a trusted hosting provider environment,” said Ian Campbell, president of iCONECT.
Allen Outlaw, CEO of Innovative Discovery, agrees: “As the federal space continues to look for innovative products in a secured environment, we’re looking over the horizon and see the iCONECT offering in a FEDRAMP cloud as a key component to continued market growth.”
