Job Title: Vice President of Business Development – Commercial Division
Status: Salary Position + Commission

General Summary:

Responsible for significantly growing the overall sales of iCONECT software products in its Commercial Division, which includes a spectrum of data management solutions and products. The market is worldwide, with a primary focus on North America.

VP of Business Development is self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and a strong leader. In this role, you will lead all business development activities for iCONECT’s Commercial Division including building and developing its sales team.  This position is responsible for the division’s sales performance by making decisions, setting goals, and leading the team.  In addition, this position will work closely with other department heads, key clients, and other stakeholders to ensure successful execution of the company’s strategy and expansion.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Recruit, manage, develop, and lead sales team and maintain sales operations
  • Develop and support resellers to meet growth objectives
  • Outline and manage sales budgets
  • Set and achieve quarterly and annual sales goals
  • Motivate and support the sales teams to achieve their goals
  • Monitor the market and competitor products and activities
  • Provide detailed sales forecasting
  • Review customer activity, anticipate consumer needs, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Develop and execute sales strategy in alignment with Company’s strategy to meet growth objectives
  • Identify where improvements can be made and developing sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development and customer support to ensure customer satisfaction, successful market and pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with Company’s Product Managers (Subject Matter Experts) to assist in sales activities and to provide market intelligence to enhance software solutions
  • Develop and implement sales training programs for sales teams and resellers
  • Build relationships with customers

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven work experience and track record not only as a sales leader, but also as a sales representative within data management software, SaaS or related industry
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products and the market
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Great strategic planning, organizational, negotiating and creative thinking skills
  • Solid network of peers and associates within the software space
  • Experience with a startup software company/s is a plus
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is preferred
  • B2B sales experience is required; SaaS sales experience is strongly preferred

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in building and leading a sales team with a demonstrated history of achieving sales goals and targets
  • 10+ years software sales experience
  • Valid driver’s license, passport, satisfactory driving record, and proof of insurance
  • Frequent airline travel is required
