iCONECT Development, LLC announced that near-duplicate document analysis from Equivio can now be seamlessly integrated into iCONECT’s Document Groups feature for faster, more-consistent reviews. This builds on iCONECT’s existing use of Equivio technology, which has been in place since June 2006.

Equivio analyzes documents to identify those that are similar except for a few words or paragraphs (e.g., revisions to a company memo or versions of the same contract customized for specific clients). This analysis is imported seamlessly into iCONECT, enabling users to drastically reduce review time since often only one document in a set of near-duplicates needs to be reviewed.

iCONECT's Document Groups feature further organizes near-duplicates (based on Equivio's analysis) into groups where the primary document can be easily identified and reviewed first. The rest of the near-duplicates in the group can be assigned the same review designation with a single-click. This saves time and ensures consistency. Reviewers can also choose to view only primary documents for a quick assessment, and then view near-duplicates of the primary document as needed.
